Aircraft Used In Our Curriculum

Big Bend Community College has 25 aircraft to support the flight program.

Recently the college upgraded our fleet to include Piper Warrior III's with the Avidyne FlightMax Entegra Primary Flight Display and FlightMax EX5000 Mulit-Funciont Display (glass cockpit design). 

The Private Pilot curriculum is taught using the Beechcraft B-19 Sport.

Most of the Commercial curriculum is flown in the Beechcraft C-23 Sundowners and the Sports. Complex operations are taught in the Beechcraft Bonanza F-33A.

The Bellanca Citabria 7GCBC is used for tail wheel experience, and for spin training for CFI applicants.

Our Beechcraft Travelair D95A is used for teaching the twin curriculum and a Cessna 180 on amphibious floats is used to teach the single engine sea curriculum.
